Up to eight people can share Picnic Island with no one except the resident Little Penguins. It’s all yours. Every booking enjoys complete exclusivity. Our island host provides high-touch support and concierge service before and during visits.

Throughout your stay, Picnic Island’s private chef will craft personalised meals, celebrating the seasons and Tasmania’s rich produce, meats and seafood, and artisanal foods.

Life on our island is a blissful immersion in place. The cool, clear waters are perfect for a plunge, there are Little Penguins to be observed in their natural habitat, the paths invite mindful strolling, while at night, you can to gaze into some of the darkest, star-filled skies on earth.

How to get here

Picnic Island is around two and a half hours by road from Hobart and Launceston airports. Alternatively, a seaplane or helicopter is a 30-minute flight from Hobart. From the shore, it’s a 10-minute trip in our custom-built boat.
